CHINESE WATER DEER
INSIGHT
CWD FILMS
The Chinese Water Deer has been at liberty in England for more than 100 years now, since its escape from Woburn. Although not widespread, they achieve high densities in the areas they are established - mainly Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
This deer is highly productive and can produce up to 4 fawns per year. The estates that our associates manage consistently produce some of the biggest bucks taken in the UK annually, as they are managed so that they reach full maturity. The Chinese Water Deer season is from the 1st November – 31st March.
