The Stalking Show 2026: The UK's Premier Deer Stalking Event Returns.

April is finally here, and with it anticipation is building for the return of The Stalking Show, taking place on 11–12 April at the Staffordshire County Showground (ST18 0BD).

For anyone passionate about deer stalking, deer management, and the wider hunting community, it has quickly become one of the most important dates in the industry's calendar.

At Cervus-UK, we’re also excited to once again be working alongside the show team this year. Across the weekend we’ll be bringing you LIVE coverage direct from the show, with interviews, and behind-the-scenes content as the event unfolds across TSS socials.

Expect plenty of exhibitor interviews, conversations with show-goers, a look at the best deals across the halls, chats with partner organisations, and of course sampling some of the incredible wild game on offer in the food court. We’ll be sharing it all across the show’s social channels throughout the weekend, giving people a real sense of the live atmosphere whether they’re attending in person or following along online.

The show itself continues to grow year on year, thanks to the tireless work of organisers David and Deanne Freer and the wider TSS team. Working around the clock, they’ve built an event that remains sharply focused on what matters most to stalkers — practical kit, expert knowledge, and feeling part of a community built around responsible practice. And of course, not forgetting the amazing wild game and beer to wash it down on offer in the food court!!

Visitors can expect everything from seeing their favourite brands' rifles, optics, clothing, and technical gear under one roof, to insights into training opportunities and educational talks, making it a show where both seasoned stalkers and newcomers can get stuck in.

Not to mention the incredible Really Wild Kitchen hosting demos of venison butchery, skinning and cooking all weekend with hosts: Rachel Green, Jose Souto and recently crowned 'Best Game Influencer/Educator', Chris Marney.

This show isn't just about walking round and being passive to everything going on, it's all about getting stuck in, learning and trying your hand at all the practical events on offer. The butchery competition is a testament of this shows ethos. Here stalkers have a go at breaking down a joint of venison. This year they will be asking competitors to seam butcher a Muntjac haunch into its primal muscles.

We’re also particularly looking forward to seeing our brand partners Deerhunter at the show this year, especially as they step into their new role as the official clothing partner of the event.

Special Q&A with the Stalking Show:

To give our Deer Talk readers a better insight for what's to come this year, we caught up with the Stalking Show team for a quick Q&A.

'For anyone who hasn’t yet visited The Stalking Show, how would you describe the event and what makes it unique within the UK shooting calendar?'

TSS: The Stalking Show is arguably the most focused and “on-point” event the UK has ever seen. What makes it unique is its DNA; it was created by hunters, for hunters, and it represents every facet of the sport.

It stands out in the shooting calendar as a highly cost-effective event, where the community-driven atmosphere encourages retailers to offer exclusive deals you won’t find elsewhere.

Above all, it’s a social hub that champions responsible hunting and sustainable practices.

'What can visitors expect from the 2026 show this year? Are there any new features, talks, or experiences you’re particularly excited about?'

TSS: We’ve got a fantastic line-up for 2026, with more live demos and interactive sessions than ever before.

The highlight for me has to be the Newcomers Project Auction. It’s a brilliant initiative where the funds raised will provide tangible, accessible opportunities and clear professional pathways for those looking to enter the industry.

'Are there any new brands, exhibitors, or gear launches that people should keep an eye out for?'

TSS: We’re thrilled to see a growing number of new brands and exhibitors joining us every year.

The Stalking Show has quickly become the go-to destination for distributors to unveil their newest gear to a highly targeted audience. It’s the perfect place for visitors to get hands-on with the latest technology before it hits the wider market.

'Education and learning seem to be a growing part of the show. What opportunities will there be this year for people who perhaps want to learn more about deer stalking and deer management?'

TSS: Our new partnership with British Association for Shooting and Conservation has significantly expanded our educational offering, introducing a wealth of new training and development options.

Beyond this, a wide range of expert exhibitors will be on-site offering specialised deer management skills and professional courses, suitable for all levels of experience.

'The show attracts everyone from experienced stalkers to people who are completely new to deer stalking. How does the event cater for both audiences?'

TSS: The Stalking Show is designed to be inclusive, bridging the gap between seasoned professionals and those just starting out.

For the veteran, there is cutting-edge gear and high-level technical discussion. For the novice, there are accessible workshops and expert guidance. By catering to every level of experience, the event remains a valuable resource for the entire stalking community.

'For someone thinking about attending for the first time, what would your advice be to make the most of the weekend?'

TSS: With so much to see and experience, it is difficult to cover the entire show in just one day.

My advice would be to plan your visit across the full weekend. Between the three stages featuring a constant flow of demonstrations and talks, the popular Hall of Hounds, and over 300 exhibition stands, there is a huge amount of content to explore. Two days ensures you won’t miss a thing.

'Finally, what are you both personally most looking forward to about this year’s show?'

TSS: We’re most looking forward to catching up with everyone in the community and soaking up the social atmosphere.

The Deer Calling Competition is another must-see for us - held on stage in Bingley Hall Saturday 12.30pm and Sunday 12.00pm midday. It’s a brilliant event that’s consistently fun and entertaining year after year. with some amazing prizes up for grabs. Please come and have a go!

See You There!

For us, the show is always one of the highlights of our calendar year. It’s a place where the deer stalking community truly comes together, where new ideas and honest conversation emerge face-to-face, all for the good of UK deer management.

If you’re heading along, keep an eye on the Stalking Show socials across the weekend — we’ll be on the ground capturing the atmosphere, hunting out the best stories, and bringing you live interviews and coverage straight from the show floor. We’ll see you there! Follow Stalking Show socials to keep up to date across the show weekend:
